Psalm 32:8  I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.

Term 4

We hope you have all had a restful break.

Our learning journey this term is ‘Seaside’.

So far this term, we have enjoyed using the book ‘Sharing a Shell’ by Julia Donaldson. We have been thinking about the character of the crab and his hunt for a new home.

Later in the term we will be reading ‘The Lighthouse Keepers Lunch’ and designing our own sandwich that will hopefully be seagull proof!  We will also learn all about the seaside in the past and how things have changed over time.

Thank you for your continued support with reading and phonics at home. Progress is really noticeable in those children that are reading regularly. We will be sending home additional nonsense words for your child to practise at home so that all the sounds taught in school are secure.

If you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to come and speak to us after school.

Many thanks,

Miss Isden, Miss Dadson, Ms Mould and Miss Blackman
