"Where love and learning meet."
Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
Welcome back!
This term we will be focusing our learning on minibeasts.
In Literacy we will be looking at non-fiction books and story books, noticing the differences between the books and what we can find out. We will be focusing on the stories of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Bad Tempered Ladybird and The Very busy Spider. We will also be learning about writing our own stories and using narrative language to support this.
In Maths we will be using stories as a stimuli to investigate symmetry, time, doubling and one more and one less to 20.
We are looking forward to welcoming you for another stay and play session. This session will focus on looking at the children’s learning through their own eyes with a range of activities based on our topic for you to explore with your child.
The children have been doing so well with their reading at home and we cannot thank you enough for your support and enthusiasm.
We are beginning to prepare the children for their transition into year one. Part of this will be handing in their book and keywords to their teacher as they arrive when they are ready for them to be changed. We will not automatically change books on a Monday and Friday anymore.
