St Paul's CE Academy

"Where love and learning meet."

Psalm 32:8  I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.

Term 6

We had a fantastic trip to Blackberry Farm. We managed to avoid the rain for most of the day and the children were impeccably behaved, a real credit to their families and our Academy. Thank you to all the parents and carers who gave up their time to come with us, it is very much appreciated.

In Literacy we will be focusing on the stories of Rosie’s Walk, What the Ladybird Heard and Noah’s Ark to tie in with RE.We will also be learning about writing our own stories and using narrative language to support this.

In Maths we will be learning about positional language, money and consolidating the skills of addition, subtraction and shape work.

The children have been doing so well with their reading at home and we cannot thank you enough for your support and enthusiasm. Don’t forget to hand in their book, reading record and keywords when they need changing.

We are continuing to prepare the children for their transition into year one. The children will spend time with their new teacher in their new classroom as well as the teacher coming to see the children in their own environment. Each child will have a moving up book to take home and read and fill out throughout the summer.

Don’t forget as the weather warms up the children need a sun hat, water bottle and sun cream applied before coming to school.
