The children have now made the big jump from Key Stage 1 into Key Stage 2. We have been super impressed on how the children are already coming into school independently. The children have settled in brilliantly to the new routines and have shown great eagerness to learn. We can’t wait to watch the children flourish and thrive throughout the year! We are looking forward to having a fabulous year; we kick it off with our first Learning Journey, ‘Endangered’.
In Maths, we will be concentrating on Place Value before moving onto addition and subtraction methods. We will be focusing on learning our 3x, 4x and 8x tables and mastering our 2x, 5x and 10x tables. In English, we will be writing letters, speech conversations and non-chronological reports focussing on our Learning Journey topic.
Please help your child by making sure they bring in their P.E. kit every week (our PE day is Wednesday), complete their homework, including the journal task, and encourage them to read every day at home.
We are always happy to help and to answer any questions you may have, please e-mail us or contact us through Class Dojo. If you need support with this, please let us know.
