First Aid
Minor accidents will be treated in school in accordance with the First Aid Regulations set out by the Local Authority. The school has a minimum of 6 fully trained and qualified first aiders. Many more of the staff also have basic First Aid training.
In the event of a more serious accident or illness at school we will inform you immediately. If all contacts are unavailable your child will be escorted to hospital by a member of staff pending your arrival.
An email will be sent to inform parents of any minor head bumps. This is to inform parents in case complications occur later in the day or evening.
Please ensure that we are told of any medical condition that may affect your child in school – this is especially important in cases of severe allergy or asthma.
PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT WE ALWAYS HAVE UP TO DATE INFORMATION ABOUT WHERE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY DOCTOR CAN BE CONTACTED. WE ALSO NEED AN EMERGENCY CONTACT NAME AND NUMBER SHOULD YOU BE UNAVAILABLE.
