School Meals

We are a healthy eating school. Children have the choice of a school meal or a packed lunch, if they have a school meal they will have a number of options, including a vegetarian meal and a jacket potato. From September 2024 all meals will be prepared in our kitchen by Relish. We are currently asking for all parents to register with Relish by setting up an account in preparation for new school year. You will be able to view the menu, so please discuss it with your child before they come to school. All children in key stage 1 are entitled to a universal free school meal, the cost of a school meal for key stage 2 children is currently £2.85 and this needs to be paid to Relish. You will be redirected to Arbor to top up your meal account.

Further information on how to set up your Relish account is below.

There are many families on reduced income who may be entitled to claim for free school meals for their children. This entitles you to, among other things, a discount on school uniform and a reduction in the cost of school trips. If you think you are entitled to claim free school meals please ask at the School Office or download the form below. Although children in KS1 already receive a free meal, unless the application form is completed they will not be entitled to claim any other subsidies.

Packed lunches should be in a named container for storage until lunchtime. Please do not include sweets, chocolate bars or sticky, fizzy drinks in your child's lunch box.  If you provide a yogurt please include a spoon. For reasons of safety we are unable to allow hot drinks in thermos flasks or the use of glass bottles or cans. Plastic bottles, containers or cartons of drink are perfectly acceptable. During the summer term it is advisable to place a small ice pack in the lunch box to keep food cool.

All children in the Foundation Stage and Key Stage One are provided with free fruit during the morning.  Children aged 4 are also entitled to free milk which is provided from CoolMilk. Once your child is five, you have to pay if you wish them to continue having milk.
