Sierra Leone
In the October half term 2023, Mr. Morton will be returning to Sierra Leone to re-establish the link between St. Paul’s and REC Kossoh Town. This time he will be joined by Miss Godden instead of Mrs Orsbourne. This trip will give us the opportunity to continue with the teaching we started before the COVID lockdown and see how our partner has developed. They were starting a roof project along with building a new nursery building rather than the tin shack that they previously had.
We will be running a Sierra Leone club to start to plan for the visit and the things that we can take out to share with our partner school.
The funding of this trip has fallen on the two teachers this time so we will be having fund raising events between now and October and if you feel you are able to contribute, even the smallest amount it will be greatly appreciated.
